VIDEO: Maisie Williams talks about The Last of Us film in New interview

Comingsoon.net shared this great new interview with Maisie Williams in which she talks about upcoming projects, one being The Last of Us film adaption.

Back at San Diego Comic Con, it was revealed that "Game of Thrones" star Maisie Williams had been approached by Screen Gems about taking on the role of Ellie in their film adaptation of the Naughty Dog game The Last of Us. Since then, little has been said about the project, but in a recent interview with Flicks And The City, Williams confirms that she was approached and should the project continue to move forward, she would still be interested.

"I had a lunch a little while ago and we spoke about the possibility of me playing Ellie and that's really exciting and I would absolutely love too. It kind of all came about on Twitter a long time ago. The power of Twitter still never ceases to amaze me. I went to a lunch and we spoke a little bit about it, and then they announced at Comic-Con that we had spoken about it, and since then in like every interview people have been asking me about it. Honestly I would love to and I think they would love me to play Ellie also, and that's where it is at the moment. There's no script, no director, it's still very early days for the whole project, but if it all goes ahead soon enough I think, yeah, I would love to."

Naughty Dog's Neil Druckmann, who wrote the script for the game, is penning the screenplay which he will produce along with Naughty Dog co-presidents' Evan Wells and Christophe Balestra, Game Director Bruce Straley, and Sam Raimi via their Ghost House Pictures banner.
